Ways for 10+2 students To Become an Officer in Indian Armed Forces .

A Candidate must have to go through a SSB Interview to become an Officer.

There are two ways two reach SSB interviews.

First method is by qualifying a national level written 

examinations conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service .

National Defence Academy & Naval Academy examination (NDA & NA Exam)  - This examination is conducted twice a year .

 AGE - Age of the candidate should be berween 16.5 to 19.

    Educational Qualifications: 

     (i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. 

    (ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. 

    Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

    The Second way is the Direct Entries to SSB interviews.

    Direct Entries A aspirant has to Apply for the entry and if the candidates percentage  in 10+2 crosses the cutoff of the Entry. Then he will be called for SSB interview.

    The first direct entry is -

    1. TES (10+2) Army. - Technical Entry Scheme

    This Entry is Conducted twice a year

    Age - The candidate age should be in between 16.5 to 19.5.

    Education Qualification - Aspirant must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 70% or above in physics , Chemistry and Maths.

     The Second Entry is 

    2. 10+2(B. TECH) Navy Tech Entry

    This Entry is twice a year.

    Age - The candidate age should be in between 16.5 to 19.5.

    Education Qualification - Aspirant must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 70% or above in physics , Chemistry ,  Math and 50% in English in Both 10 and 10+2.
